Frebazak, i too have been a huge fan of Nez's for decades. Had you heard that the Gretsch he's playing on tour is not the original 12 string? Apparently, that one was stolen, along with his white SG, from Red Rhodes repair shop in the late '60's. Gretsch made him another which I've seen pictures of him using during the Justus album. I believe the tobacco one he is using on tour is also a new custom job for him by Gretsch.

The same with me - I became a fan in 1986 also. Kinda got out of the Monkeemania a little in the 90's but the past 5-10 years or so, I've been back into them. They just never get old.

You and me both! I don't know why none of the live performances have never been released "officially." I've heard some great quality bootlegs of the "Justus" tour.

I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys a few times and Dolenz a few times on his own. They really did like to Monkee around but they had fun!

I have followed Mike his whole career. That Gretsch 12 string guitar is a one-of-a-kind. Gretsch was a "Monkey" sponsor. He sounds,... and plays DAMN good for 71..... Peter still plays a mean bass.... Wish they would put some of this stuff on a CD....
