Some people underrate the Monkees.  Davey Jones was a Broadway star with a pitch perfect tenor, Peter Tork and Mike Nesbith were both successful studio musicians and back up singers at a time when that mattered, and Micky Dolenz learned his craft as a child star when  you had to sing, dance and act to earn your paycheck.   I loved the montage to this tune in "Breaking Bad".
