I saw them play in Swindon (of all places) in 1980/81 (i Think) 'twas a good gig, never really saw myself as psychobilly (more Rockabilly) but 1 of the best gigs i saw was The Cramps playing the old Lyceum (the strand) & i'm sure that was around christmas 1980, any old timers here remember that? ps 1 of the support bands was the Polecats, lol.

Thats cause most are piss & dont cut it as psychobilly, when i was younger, even then it was Meteors or Cramps, dident mind the other bands, but wasent really intrested, ....I stll listen everyday, & try (money permitting) to get to shows....i think the wwwc & ppf are responsable for where they are today....my opinion....

we shall have to agree to disagree then james...im not denying that the meteors today arent good....but to me they were at there best when paul,nigel and mark started out.....i have most of the meteors albums and they do a great live set.....but if it wasnt for us oldies that bought the albums and singles in the start...then they wouldnt be were they are now....and PPF should be thrilled that the scene he helped start all them years back is now so strong..but he slags EVERY other band off.

I do bellive the Meteors are better, every time i listen to them, which is every day...how about you ??..& im not gona give you abuse only truth...you cant live on ifs or buts...P.P.F..keept at it the others dident so he has the right to say what he wants, bands change line ups change, but they are still the k.o.p...& all bands do this, but dont hear no one saying thats not them cause someone left....lots people jumping on the band wagon as well when the going is good,....wwwc...otmapp...

are you SERIOUSLY trying to say that the meteors are better now than they were when it was fenech,lewis and robertson????...fenech is an amazing guitarist and im not denying that or slagging his ability at all....but if it wasnt for nigel and mark...fenech wouldnt be able to spout all the OTMAPP crap.....yes the meteors are pure psychobilly cos they started it all......but THE meteors ARE paul,nigel and mark...and not what they are now...and i bet ul send me abuse because of my opinions

totally agree!!! all this OTMAPP is utter bollocks...the meteors ARE fenech,lewis and robertson...after nigel and mark left...the meteors were never the same.....i can just about handle the "wreckin crew" album....but thats when i stopped buying meteors stuff.....its just not the same as it was......yet nigel keeps the "sound"....listen to "i know something" by nigel lewis and the zorchmen......thats how i imagine the meteors would sound now if nigel had kept the "meteors "name when he left

This was the EP from the B film Meteor Madness featuring Keith Allen as the devil; I never saw it... but had the EP and In Heaven... sold em both for beers in about 1991... the shame of it!! I do remember seeing Keith allen interviewed and whoever it was (wossy maybe? I can't remember), mentioned Meteor madness... and Keith being the lovely old C*nt he is, scoffed and said it was shit. Fuck you Keith; your daughter can't sing for shit matey!

@Charliespliff have recently been playing this ep and in heaven on a 50's record player... sounds even better! I think wreckin' crew is pretty good but afterwards the rockabilly sound is gone : / shame hopefully will see nigel lewis play some when
