Ballarat's own supergroup THE MAVIS's perform the first in several saturday morning RECOVERY performances. This show was one of the best live music shows ever produced on Australian TV and featured a huge array of Aust and O/S talent all 100% live. The acts would often have to soundcheck between 6am and 8am!!, sometimes arriving straight from after party and gigs. Enjoy.

She reminds me of Lucia from KMDFM in this clip :-) Not a bad thing :-)

Hahahah! He's super gay and it's such a strange contrast to his scream! But totally cool. You don't get enough gay singers in that style.

I saw the Mavis's in a shitty little pub in 99, they were totally up themselves, but they rocked!

Worked with a tall and "large-ish" chick who adored them. She was in her early 30s and had 3 young daughters. She saw The Mavis's walking through Brisbane airport and lost it; started jumping up and down, pointing and almost screaming whilst her 3 daughters stood there mortified.

I met this band a couple of times in the 90's, they were really nice guys and girls. This song also inspired me to write a song called "Don't Say Sorry" about the violation of indigenous rights by using the chanting verse interspersed with techno and heavy rock.
