After they lost Theodore I really fell out with Volta, I'll spin some of their new stuff once in awhile.. but I'm always listening to Tremulant, De-Loused and Frances the Mute. I disagree that Volta isn't as good as they used to be, but I do believe the style they channeled the most energy as a whole entity is gone.

i have been listening to the mars volta for a very long time. i got introduced to them when i was a little kid. i have noticed from this video to videos of them live that omar does not have the same style of performance. idk can anyone tell me why? like i saw some at the drive-in stuff and the mars volta stuff and he is banging his head or any aggressive moves. did he break a leg or something? i know his mum passed recently but this has been for a while. anyone wanna help answer this for me?
