As catchy as this song is at first it really goes nowhere. I can see why they didn't include it on any studio releases.

There was, waay back in the day, when audiogalaxy ruled, a band called Mars Volta, without the "the" before it, in fact i think i read on an interview with Cedric that they wanted the name Mars Volta but was already taken by this band, that actually had nice drum&bass ~esque songs (bach song, bune home, corelli theme, eat the sun and others). Now a days you will find those songs as if they were from The Mars Volta, but they are not, check them out at grooveshark. dot com slash #!/s/Bunel+Home/cwOta?src=5

@landonech No, it's true. Back in the day if you downloaded Caught in the sun, from Kazaa, Limewire or any of those old p2p sites there was a huge chance you'd get something from Mars Volta (without The) from Italy.

@landonech There's a FAQ at Inertiatic website. It's on there. sorry, eat the sun was just a fan title of cicatriz back in the day. but there is a euro band called Mars Volta

@12HarmonicChaos This sounds completely fabricated to me, though I'm not sure why you would do such a thing. There's no way there was a Electronic European band called Mars Volta that existed before Cedric and Omar's The Mars Volta. Please provide a link that proves otherwise.

@1asheepawake1 Not the same song first of all. "Eat The Sun" was by a band called MARS VOLTA not The Mars Volta. They were a European band. It's been a looooooong time since I've even heard that title. it might be on the Comatorium somewhere...basically, there was an electronic band out there from europe called Mars Volta and they had a couple of songs, one of which was called "Eat The Sun". it has nothing to do with "Caught In The Sun" and I have no idea why they had their name so similar.

Just when I thought I had heard every song.... like finding a little nugget of nectar, this is like Warren G old school Volta.

@TMVowns Im pretty sure he was talking about "eat the sun" when he said that. It was the name given for the cicatriz demo, by fans I think.
