With these introductory lines spoken by the late Rod Serling, creator of the famous late '50's/early '60's sci-fi TV series, The Twilight Zone, The Manhattan Transfer composed and recorded one of the most novel and memorable dancing and listening songs of the same name in 1979, which went on to become a hit in 1980. Nostalgic and campy, it barely made the Top 30, but was frequently requested in the dance clubs in the winter of 1980 and fit just as seamlessly into the new wave's retro following. I hope you enjoy my video interpretation of this jazzy, delightful, and intense little number I spun so often during my nightclub years.
