I sideline this movie with Interstellar. Pretty different budgets. This movie just completely blew my mind. Saw it for the first time for a month ago. Seen it 5 times already. Absolutely lovely concept. What if Jesus and Leonardo da Vinci is the same guy. Mindboggeling stuff. Just WoW.

Please don't take my comment as being somehow slanderous against the film - I think it was terrifically acted and well shot considering the budgetary constraints - but I truly believe the music in this film is absolutely atrocious.It's the most heavy-handed, amateurish composition I've ever heard! I think the film would've worked without a musical score at all, but that's not to say I'm opposed to some music being there. It's just that the music that was used is so abysmal that I can scarcely believe it exists. A more understated, ethereal tone implemented at the right moments would've worked wonders, but instead it seems as if this wonderful story has been tainted by the meanderings of a cheap porn composer.However, it is a testament to the script and the strength of its idea that I still regard it as a true masterpiece that is a testament to Jerome Bixby's humanity and intellect.In short: perfect script, great acting, poor execution.
