This is a beautiful song, so much better without Yoko... I don't hate her, she made John happy and that makes me happy, is just that I don't understand why John let her sing if she doesn't know how... :(

Man this cat could really right some lyrics with great Political undertones. That's what got him in trouble with the FBI, because Nixon really thought that if he came out for a specific candidate he would lose. That's when they tried to deport him for smoking weed in 1965, not in the US but in England.

I must add; if Lennon is (as so many people claim) a musical genius, we have to respect who he chooses to collaborate with. If his choices are as dubious as so many people on this page are claiming, then he obviously isn't the talent they go on to applaud.

I'm not the biggest Yoko fan, but I do think songs like 'Yang Yang' and 'Woman Power' are AWESOME. Also whilst her art (and politics of the 60's/70's) may seem naive now (how much avant garde art and radical politics of that period doesn't?), her influence on Lennon - and his need for that type of mind/character - can't be belittled or under-rated. As for splitting up the Beatles (ridiculous, the writing was already on the wall), Linda was equally to blame; when looking for a new manager John, George and Ringo had chosen Allen Klein, whilst Paul was arguing for Lee Eastman (Linda's Dad). That to me smacks of an interfering partner. I avoided saying 'interfering woman', as underlying mysogony (not to mention racism) was central to the anti-Yoko sentiment in the community at large. That's what I think anyway, for whatever small value my opinion is worth.
