"I Want the Good Times Back" delivers more plot information, but "Wasting Away" is perfect for showing just how desperate (and CRAZY) Ursula is. Back story is fine, but this is what the musical really needed. Then again, I may be biased since I prefer Emily Skinner's portrayal of Ursula over Sherie Rene Scott's.

This really could have been in the movie even with Ursula being as huge as she was because in her very first scene she says she's "wasting away to practically nothing"

really nice song... I've watched the show and skipped through "I want the good times back" meh idk lame beat or something I liked this one cause it was uptempo its kinda long but I think it could fit better in the animated version except in that one Ursula is HUGE so idk... like it needs trimming meybe more clear lyrics c: I like it though I could see it in the play. Ursula just needs to stay upbeat slow songs are for the heroines -.- anyways nice c:

I actually like this song better than "I want the Good Times Back" because it's a great deal more sinister than Good Times and really fits in with the animated Pat Carroll version of Ursula! I could actually hear Pat Carroll singing this!

This song doesn't move the story anywhere! All it talks about it is Oh! I'm so thin! and it I Have a Plan. I Want the Good Times Back shows what Ursula wants, how they're going to get those good ol' days back and it's a fun number too!:)

I am so glad this song was cut! It did nothing for her character in the show; I Want The Good Times Back was the right choice.
