This is a performance done on the ABC's Good Morning America, introduced by Charles Gibson, by some of the Broadway cast of "The Lion King" in 2000. The cast members doing this perfomance are Bashira Creswell (Nala) and Jason Raize R.I.P. (Adult Simba). Jason chose to take his own life on February 3, 2004 at the age of 28. You are missed!

"Dreams are what I live on, and the magic of having them come true makes you work even harder and make your dreams even bigger."

+Tiffany Nunez You and me both. Listening to the original cast recording of The Lion King and hearing Jason Raize's voice brings me joy. I pray there is archive footage of the 1st Broadway performance out there in the world. Can someone please invent a time machine so we can go back and see this spectacular actor perform?!?!?!?

Jason was and always will be the BEST Simba out there! He makes me wanna cry EVERY SINGLE TIME I HEAR HIS VOICE!!!! I wish i could go back in time and see him perform! he doesnt just sing the songs, he seriously puts his heart and soul into it and really makes you FEEL it! Beautiful! These two can never be replaced! i saw the show in 2004 after his passing. the show was amazing but i still wish i could have seen him perform. God Bless him!

Oh my Gosh....Jason's eyes are absolutely.... STUNNING in this video. I go back to 2:50 and 3:00 just to look at them over and over again. I'm absolutely certain that God took his time to make them, the same with his smile. It just kills me that I will never see them in person.

Jason Raize, seeing you live was just a blessing only so many people could get when they saw this on Broadway. R.I.P.
