Wow, nice array of photos to the song. Just thought I would add that I moved here in 1970 on Juan Tabo or rather John Taboo and from Copper looking East all that was there was Manzano High School. All open to the mountains. Learned to drive on Tramway which was a dirt road and and a little roller coaster type. We used to drive our dune buggies all up and around the mountains and up the sides of the hills. Lots of fun in the old days. The photo from Speedway Park racing at the end of Eubank looked like that until the Shaw Mobile Park moved in around it and Speedway Park finally closed. Lots of Drag racing on the South Eubank location filled in the kids with cars time. Wow, lots of memories. Interesting collage of pics. Do another if you will. Best!!

I was born and grew up in what I came to call Albuturkey. I now am an expat who has moved back to Japan and I first heard and recorded this song for a Christmas album(cassette actually) I made in 1992 from KRST. Totally beautiful and haunting song. I think you tried to put too much in your video and found the speed and selection of shots distracting and at times inappropriate(especially the shots with some demonstrators and police). Having said that, these were less than the great selection of postcards and vintage shots from the 1960's. The two-page spread from Life magazine looking east up Central Avenue, just west of Carlisle, with gas at 34 cents a gallon, against a black sky I have in my collection(this is at 4:12). Maybe the most iconic photograph I have from my life in the Duke City. Maybe the only things missing would have been some shots from the classic "Lonely Are the Brave", with Kirk Douglas riding his horse up into the Sandias, and Bella Vista. Still, it's the thought that counts. My grandmother taught in Gallup for 30 years(Dad was born there and his ashes are scattered near the crest), and she was the original owner for a Montezuma Gold '57 T-Bird. As a child I would spend Christmas Eve with her and we would drive up a deserted Menaul Blvd to Hoffmantown, where I lived. I would love to add some of your shots to my collection. Where is everybody going? Ed Black's Chevrolet! Feliz Navidad and if you had any shots with Luminarios I missed them. Best wishes.

Lived in Albuquerque for 27 years. I love Albuquerque and Jim Glaser. The first time I heard this song I was returning from Phoenix and was about to drop down 9 mile hill into town.
