Formados em Inglaterra em 1980 e mudando para a Holanda pouco depois, esta influente e particular banda construiu em gigantesco e personalizado espólio musical, e é para a FADE IN uma verdadeira honra e privilégio juntá-la ao nosso já de si vasto e criterioso currículo. O quarteto tem duas figuras de proa que ainda são da formação original: Phil “The Silverman” Knight e o vocalista, letrista e compositor Edward Ka-Spel – nome absolutamente mítico no meio musical mais vanguardista. A música dos THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS é altamente personalizada embora tenha, ao longo das décadas, experimentado diferentes incursões estéticas: folk-psicadélico, rock-industrial, post-punk e até jazz progressivo. Entre as suas mais de 170 edições discográficas podemos encontrar quase 50 álbuns, alguns dos quais verdadeiras obras-primas onde a poesia e voz inconfundíveis de Edward Ka-Spel (que também manteve a banda The Tear Garden com cEvin Key dos Skinny Puppy) se destacam pela singularidade e misticismo. Jim O’Rourke, Dresden Dolls ou MGMT são alguns dos nomes mais conhecidos que os citam como influência. Num cartaz repleto de qualidade, os THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS acabam por ser, decididamente, as “estrelas” maiores do Entremuralhas 2014. Uma experiência para os sentidos e… para a Alma!

Wow, I missed this one. This is the darkest thing I recall hearing from them in years. Haunting.I miss Hoornblower though. I remember him blasting a light from inside his sax directly, about 6 inches away from my camera, priceless. I didn't know if they could go on without him, but this is fantastic.
