Just the very greatest. She has always been my "go to and listen" female country singer, simply because her style and music is truly sang with stardom emotion.

You are absolutely correct. Nashville panders to those who couldn't hold a candle to Dottie musically. The Opry turned their backs on Dottie full knowing she had fallen on hard times. We hear of Johnny Cash, George Jones and their problems but, did any of these people extend a hand to Dottie? If they did, it wasn't enough. Somehow, when Dottie died, so did country music.

this is country music at it's best. Listening you can feel her emotion. Simply an amazing lady. Died of a broken heart and broke because she trusted to a fault. We need more Dottie West's in music today.

She does such a good job on this one.& its not a job that just anybody can do.It takes a "cellar emotion", to do.(Meaning someone who knows"cellar (suicidal) depression").

I JIST HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY "I don´t like Country music, but I like Taylor Swift". Its like saying I don´t like the masterpieces by the Masters, I only go for imitations.

@latokatn506 As far as Garth, "The Dance", "If Tomorrow Never Comes" were good songs...and after that his music just went downhill. Know he made his millions smashing guitars and all on stage but that is not a good country act. Always thought of those who would love having those smashed guitars! HA! No way would I pay to see him perform. Give me the "Possum", George Jones, the real greats any day! You are right about this being the time country music was hijacked. A real shame! Thanks, Carol :-)

Hi carol Yes we need to get behind our country singer's ..Just saw The Stage burner on last nite on the O-Reilly on fox Pinhead's and patriot's He is a pinhead { Garth } One or two song's made him a star I would not step across the street to see him...That is just about the time they hi-jacked country music...Just thinking

@latokatn506 Indeed Nashville has let Dottie West down. Dottie was so good to other artists just starting out whether it be songwriters or singers. She was unique and I would really love to see her inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as she so deserves. The year of her passing had it not been for then President Bush and wife Barbara, I do not know if Dottie would have even been recognized during the CMA show. Thanks, glad to see others still taking a stand for Dottie! Carol :-)

Nashville has let this lady down in more way's than you can count and the fan's know it ..That is Dottie was good member of the Opry How many year's ? And they not put her in the Country Hall yet..And they get on Country Family Reunion RFD and talk about how they care and love each other..And when Dottie was down on luck No one saw that she had a ride to the Opry ..Where was that love and caring that fatal evening...

@MyJustified ... Hi, you are most welcome and thank you. I have many old albums by Dottie. Always love listening to her. Total agreement with you that she is not remembered more. Really think she should already have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Not only was she a great lady with talent but she helped so many when they arrived in Nashville. Have a good week. Carol :-)
