Mate, Hate to be douche, but that clearly isn't a Ricky or a 12 string. there is no chorus on the sound as you would normally find from a 12 string. Also, the tone is too thin to be Ricky, they have a lovely warmth and sparkle. This tone is just thin. also, the record is a 335 i believe, Mavers said it somewhere. The original single is a 6 string, it's doubled for the Steve Lillywhite remix from the album. Just like to hopefully bring some peace to the arguement.

@babidaboopy Sorry to disagree, but I own and play a 12 string Ricky and I know one when I hear it. There is no other sound like it. ...It's on the original record, I can hear it on the clip ,but is not to be seen on the video. Therefore they are clearly miming , unless there is a "backliner" playing the Rick behind the stage . Really though the sound is too perfect to be live especially as these guys are a lot older in the clip than they were when they made the record.

@stampedechobass You try moving in that crowd with a band playing everybody wants to be as close to as possible :P last time I tried that at glasto... well I can't remember what happened afterwards..

WAtching this you can see the strength in John Power ( went onto a successful career with CAST & solo too) on the backing vocal! I over-looked that first time around! Great band/ Great Track!

i think this song completely killed their genius as a band. Its unfortunate coz they did way cooler stuff.although this song brought me to know them.

This was a great night. The La's played their album straight through with a couple of extras. Then after Brown comes on and plays the Roses. :D
