From Wikipedia: "David Bowie said the version of Space Oddity was 'a piece of art that I couldn't have conceived of', describing the vocals as 'earnest if lugubrious' and the backing arrangement as 'astounding'."No matter what he was doing or saying, you never knew if Bowie was being sarcastic or not, but at least he heard it. This version definitely has its own magic, from the reverb of a gymnasium to the ardent voices of kids not shy to sing a song they love.
