Actually he's pretty caught up on today's music (MGMT, Yeah, yeah, yeahs, etc.). Since I exposed him to a wide range of music (classical to the clash, Elvis to Elvis C,, Bach to Beasties) when he got to PIXIES, he really embraced them.

We were in orchestra row U! I took my 18 year old son. The week earlier we saw his band, the Pixies. He loved both shows but reconised how significant this was for me being a kinks fan and this being my first time. He sang all night with me and Ray and I never realized how many songs my son knew!

Looking again at it, I believe you're right. That's ray playin' the part. Saw him in LA a couple of nights ago. And he teased the audience with some dave danglers like "I know, where's Dave?" and "dave, dave, dave".

Naah, I don't think he's dissin' Dave, he's just playing the Sleepwalker role, LOL. He may have done the putdowns on stage, but I think Ray did and still does respect Dave's abilities. Honestly, who could legitimately sleep through one of Dave's guitar solos, LOL?
