A nice song about indecisiveness in the world. GSTK!

In my opinion, their last good album was the one on which this track appears, "State of Confusion" (1983). That gives the Kinks two full decades of killer good music... their self-titled album in 1964 (released as "You Really Got Me" in the USA), to State of Confusion in 1983. That's a good run! TheDoheneydrive, I was surprised when I looked at Wikipedia and saw how little success the Kinks had in the UK. Shameful. They're one of the all-time underrated bands.

Yes, totally agree and seriously neglected here in UK. None of their albums charted yet so many people now say they were Kinks fans.

the kinks were so much better than their contempories during this period; they achieved it by being true to what they are, rather than rehashing a cliche.

By 1981 the Beatles were a memory, the Stones were recycling 1970s songs and the Who were too - and the Kinks at long last were riding a trail of four monster albums and filling stadiums, Not sure if he who laughs last laughs best, by the Kinks had it all together by this time and this song shows it - the band was tight, the music was great and the lyrics biting. I love this song!
