This song remains one of my all time favorite songs and that is really something to proclaim as there are so many great Kinks songs, but yes this song is my favorite Kinks song and it is on my favorite Kinks album, "Muswell Hillbillys"! Incidentally, I recall that the album was Crawdaddy Magazine's album of the year for 1971. I saw The Kinks do the song live at the Nassau Coliseum in 1973. I did not know this video existed. Thank you for uploading to youtube!

this pretty much nails paranoia. I sneak the trash out in the dark so the neighbors won't see. and it's only what I carried in in plain daylight. eggshells, kleenex, lightbulbs. and I'm really, really afraid of nuns.

For as much music as I've heard I'm guessing I still have only heard maybe half of all of the Kinks' stuff. In fact I only first heard "Musswell Hillbillies" about a year ago and I've been loving it! Thanks for posting the clips.
