Good song, but I'm not perfectly sure if ray could write this song without the direct influence of Lennon /Macartney. My personal top 20 favorite albums include more Kink albums than beatle albums because of my personal taste, but when we ask who influenced who.....Lennon/MaCartney were the ones that changed everything.......

Wow, a really early Kinks song - This was before they really discovered themselves in slashed amps, distortion, loud feedback, on-stage camp, and Dave's wailing guitar solos ! In the notes to the recently released box set, Ray Davies said this was one he wrote when he was still in art college, still a nerdy kid looking to get laid, LOL.

This was recorded and released legitimately by a group called "The Majority" in 1965. Their version is extremely high-energy.
