Also massive apologies for multiple comments but as far as your comment saying that no-one regards the 80's as genius, Fleetwood Mac, The Clash, Prince, Primal Scream, Madness, The Stone Roses, De La Soul, Queen, David Bowie, Metallica, Nirvana, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Michael Jackson and Joy Division off the top of my head all serve as fairly influential and arguably "genius" in their own genre during the 80's..

to the fundamentals. As I'm sure people in the 60's, 70's to which I assume you're referring to the fact that many genre's were evolving out of funk, soul, and blues music developing out of the civil rights movement. I don't think speculation is pointless, but aside from it's virtue I was using it as a point to question your personal distaste for music perhaps stemming from societal influence of perceived identities and values.

With all civility the age of celebrating the 90's means virtually nothing. My point was merely that many people venerate the past and despise the present in every generation. I understand your argument against mass marketed music which perhaps stems from a progressive capitalist society. But it is undeniable that virtually all artists perform their music with the goal of recognition and fans, who is to say that the king blues are not merely providing a progressive version of punk whilst sticking

I'm of the age that I should be celebrating the 90s, but they're still not as great a decade as the 70s, 60s or 50s, during which I wasnt alive, but the music is still superior, mostly because it was created true to its roots, and didnt use samples and marketing cliches like this song clearly does. The guy's voice is average and pop rapping. and the cliched chorus doesn't help the song either. Speculating on what people will celebrate in the future is pointless. Few are calling the 80s genius.

It's not really Gestapo, it's trying to determine the logical and accurate reason that you may not like a particular group. I don't understand this infatuation currently that anything pre 90's is unarguably superior to anything current. It seems like an ironic self delusion given that undoubtedly in 30 years time people will be fawning over aspects of this generation of music as "genius". You're original comment is perfectly valid, this spurious prophylactic rage kind of undermines your point..

alex6734

I disagree with the lad, butttt to be fair to the original comment it is neither disrespectful or an attempt to manipulate others opinions of the song. It is merely a statement that they don't like the song and why they don't like it. providing your opinion on the song positive or negative is kind of exactly what the comment section is for.. evoking someones personal ability because they provide a negative judgement is kind of a non-argument within the confines of art and music also..

Why does real music like this have just over two thousand views and shit lkie Justin Bieber's meaningless songs have 80 million? The world makes no sense.

SonicAvalanche

What fucking sense does that make? If a band's released a song that you don't think is good you have the right to express that. As if bands never release bad songs. If anything you're the one forcing your opinion by saying that. And whether I could or couldn't do better is irrelevant but since you know nothing about me that's a stupid assumption to make. Oh, and I actually like this song. I don't know where you got the idea I was the one criticising it. I'm just defending others' rights to

No i'm pretty sure it doesn't say "disrespectful comments" at the top of the page you silly little person. If you don't like the music then fine, but don't try and force your opinion on others. At the end of the day I highly doubt you could do anything better.

Dude, I must apologise but due to your aforementioned and undefended liking of a rebecca black video anything you say just makes you seem more butt-sore, that is all.

TheRealCritique

ok, gestapo looking into profiles. I did not like anything about Demi Lovato. Apparently you think Green Day and Mumford and Sons are good. You're an idiot. What's more important than your spying cunt bullshit is I like the Clash, The Damned, Buzzcocks, Roxy Music, and tons of other great english bands of the past. This is pop horseshit posing as indie. You're the one who doesn't know music or history. Sorry if you don't like girls in bikinis, sniffer.

Dear 'The Real Critique' I just looked on your page and found that you liked a Rebecca Black video as well as a video about Demi Lovato and Nikki Minaj. you liked a video ripping on Greenday's new album. Also a video that is anti-Mumford and Sons, you liked that? And amongst all of this you subscribed to a channel called 'mscreamymiddle' which has a picture of a girl in her bikini as a profile picture. fuck you, bro. you are in no position to judge music or people.
