I feel like people are listening to this not knowing what Brandon Flowers sounds like, it's not a waste of time and for people to criticize his voice is humorous, he's great. If you're going to compare him to Bono, that's also foolish. Different genres really, I've seen The Killers and Brandon Flowers on his own tour for his album Flamingo, I was not disappointed one bit. He did a few covers at his personal show, I thought he adapted them well. I don't agree with the hate unless you yourself can do better or offer constructive criticism, I don't think anyone would have the time for dissing this cover if you yourself had his agenda! Send me a link to your covers if you think you're better, I just don't understand how rude people can be sometimes about covers. It's not like the members of this band read each individual comment anyway! Cheers :)

Guess I'm a bit late on this, but I was just thinking how this song would fit in really well in the pop rock scene. Really the whole of U2's Aching Baby album could work with today's rock scene. That being said, I really don't like this cover. It takes away the energetic guitar from the Edge and replaces it with a generic drum beat

I love how they Killerized it. I really like what they did with the bridge/post-chorus (first one is at 2:15). In U2's version, there's a dark, sour quality to it with Edge's guitar, but the Killers' version really reveals the beauty of how the melody and chord progression interact in that part. Good things about both ways.
