@soccermando michael barker is an amazing drummer, him and birchall was the best lineup no doubt. but at the end of the day butler is the only one who really has control over the style. i've seen barker drum the shit out of songs from sunrise over sea, three and the self titled several times far better than the original drummers ever did.

@soccermando interesting you say that. i would say his voice sounds outright horrible on some of these new songs (to my ears). i wouldn't say his voice was worse back then, just quite a different style. i'll always be more biased towards his old style though so this discussion wouldn't go far :)
