Sounds really similar to a song by Brian Fallon called "Mary the Blues"

Each Jezabels song I listen to makes me think of that "something" that my soul is craving for.Not sure if it's a place, person, or a memory, just.. there's that feeling of what I wanna live, and knowing that I can never reach it.And that's what their songs are all about.

Mahala in Balkan languages is like... street you grew up on, quarter, the hood

I'm not certain but have a couple of guesses, both of which could be wrong. They may be alluding to how so many people make comments about how much better bands like this are than Justin Beiber (sp?) and other pop stars, but they get less recognition. Another possibility is that they think The Jezabels could 'sell out' and become mainstream, much like other pop stars. But whatever they meant, I'm immune because I simply like the music for what it is.

I'm an old fart classic rock guy (54). I discovered this band by chance and have to say I can't get enough, and its reaaly good thing for me to discover new ie: younger musicians/bands that I can listen too and appreciate. Love the simplicity of a three piece with great vocals. Have to wonder what a solid lead type bass player could add to their sound. Maybe best to leave well enough alone

It's nice to have some refreshing music that lasts a long time.
