Sorry - this sounds phoned in and sapped of all energy. Check out footage from their performances of this song 20 years ago. And yes, while it is the same three chords in "I Wanna Be Your Dog," it's hardly worth getting worked up over. Plenty of songs have the same chord progressions - and plenty of JAMC songs use progressions from other old songs (The Beach Boys in particular).

As both a fan of the Stooges and The Jesus and Mary Chain, it doesn't bother me much. Same/similar riffs are gonna happen when they're pretty straightforward - I think it's best to try and view the song as a whole.

Such a change from their old shows. I remember seeing them in the 80's, and they ended the show with about 15 minutes of non-stop feedback and NOISE! It was so anti-social and so fucking awesome. By the time they finally exited the stage nearly everyone in the club had cleared out!
