Holyshit I remember seeing these guys in a million shitty little bars in Pittsburgh sometime between 1989 and 1992.... This one song encapsulates like that entire *era* for me! I don't think I've listened to it since then, but hearing it again now, wow, it packs the same fuckin punch. It's about Britt Walford, from Slint. Albini had gone out of town for a while, and Britt was watching his house, and one night he got plowed and lost the keys to the house, so he broke down the door--taking part of the doorframe with it. Instead of repairing it, he nailed it up with a bunch of 2x4s. And he broke a toilet, it was literally raining piss water in the basement, where there was mucial equipment and drums set up, just splashing piss water over the drums and shit. No deaths.
