The Jayhawks existed back in the 60's?? I just heard about them recently, thinking they were a NEW group! They do a song called: "Smile", it's pretty too. It's a ballad. That is if TODAY'S Jayhawks ARE the ones doing "Stranded in the Jungle".

Cadets' cover is slicker, but definitely not as hip as the original.Cadets got some of the lyrics wrong, and the NY Dolls cover of the cover messed up even more.

How odd that two groups would cover this, and the second group, The Cadets, made it to the charts and this original didn't. (Well, actually, this one isn't as good.) But i just wonder why The Cadets, or any other group, would cover it again. Close to 60 years ago, so who knows.
