@ressalg Thank you. And yes, you are correct, I have since heard the same from several Jayhawks historians/fans, and so my remarks stand corrected. My remarks came from a review by a Louisville disc jockey who just after the Louisville concert gave his reading of the song as I described it. It may have just been his own interpretation and not based on fact. I have heard Victoria Williams, a wonderful and talented singer. And your right in one more fact, it is a great song.

@gurlsingerfan, I heard from multiple sources the "Miss Williams" this song is about is singer Victoria Williams, who was Mark Olson's wife when he cowrote the song. Check the Wikipedia page for Victoria Williams. Whatever the case, it's a great song.

A bit of history: The song was written after a performance in Louisville KY, after The Jayhawks performed there with Lucinda Williams also on the bill. The references to "Miss Williams" guitar style is the theme, the reference to "graveyard park where flowers lulled" is a reference to Cave Hill Cemetary, which the Jayhawks and Lucinda toured while they were there (one of the most beautiful cemetaries in the country). It is a nice tribute to Louisville, Cave Hill and Lucinda....
