5/14 - A few years ago a portable jukebox was discovered which belonged to John Lennon in the 1960s. The jukebox conntained a tracklist of 40 records - soul, R&B and Rock 'n' Roll - written in Lennon's own handwriting. These are the songs which shaped his musical education and they reveal many of the original sources of inspiration for his later songwriting.

I think Isley Brothers version is the best version of this song, doo wop style.

Josiah Tabat. If THIS isn't glorified, nothing else is.

Well the Beatles starte out as a glorified "cover band" or African American impersonators but began to do their own thing and make their mark. Let's face it, and be honest, the USA was even more racist then in the 60's than today and racism is based upon ignorance and hypocrisy, the Beatles sold many more records due to racism and hypocrisy. It still happens but not as much. That said, the Beatles became much more than a cover band, they became great not due to popularity but rather innovations.

wow, those guys not only get to live their life knowing they've met The Beatles, but they also get to live with the fact that The Beatles covered them! how awesome. I'm going to risk sounding rude, but the footage at the start of the video with the black ppl dancing is so much hotter than when the white ppl show up on the screen dancing. However, I can still appreciate their energy-- I mean look at Lennon singing that song! It makes you feel so good watching him.
