The Isley Brothers "Fight the Power" released in 1975 is considered by many of their fans to be the signature song written by this dynamic group espousing a call for revolution.Often thought of as a song about the black experience, "Fight The Power" is more of a general statement on rising above the powers that be.However, the song 'The Pride' (written in 1980) is by far, the pivotal track that has uplifting and motivational lyrics.Perhaps, due to it's acoustical vs. bass undertone, it is often overlooked as a masterpiece in Black inspirational music; much the same way "The Greatest Love of All" originally performed by George Benson has become a symbol of, well,...pride.Without Pride, there will be no revolution because without pride one has very little, to no, purpose.Separation Now!

Todays artists NOT all should take lessons on how to play music as these bad ass groups did in the 70's and later.
