When I was humming this song earlier today, I decided to look up the lyrics. That's the first time I learned that Wham even recorded the song. The best version of "If You Were There" is by Ace Spectrum which came out in 1974. It has better vocals and a great orchestra. That's the one I'm familiar with, even more so than the Isley Brothers' version. Listen to Ace Spectrum's and include it in your discussion.
