One of my favourite 70s soul covers. Recorded from the Kenny Gamble 45.

I love the Intruders, one of my favorite groups, and also the Escorts, who someone mentioned. But my favorite version of this song has to be the Mad Lads.

This has been covered by many great soul artists, but this is possibly the best I have had the pleasure of hearing!!! Big, Big Tune

Jbug Agree completely - Mighty Three needs to dig out the original master tapes - enough of these oh so worn vinyl tracks.

Thanks. The fact that this was never on an album (as are other single releases) is another reason The Intruders need a box set of their material. It's really crazy that they don't even have their first 3 complete albums on CD. It's not like they were 1 hit wonders. The generation that grew up with the group is getting old and after we're gone their won't be a large enough audience to support a release of their music. So the time is now, for crying out loud!

Never on an album, it was on the B side of a 45. Check out "Lollipop" at "The Intruders Lollipop" on Youtube, I uploaded it yesterday.

I have "Lollipop" but I haven't figured out how to upload it on this site. As soon I figure it out I will put it on here.

Although his photo is not on this video that's Sam Brown aka "Little Sonny" singing lead. He is the original lead singer for the group. I don't believe song ever appeared on an LP. If I am not mistaken it was on he B side of a 45.

As big a Intruder fan as I am, I had never heard this before. It must have been on their first album "The Intruders Are Together."
