The Ink Spots were a popular vocal group that helped define the musical genre that led to rhythm & blues and rock and roll, and

the subgenre doo-wop. They and the Mills Brothers, another black vocal group of the 1930s and 1940s, gained much acceptance in the white community.

I'm 17 and I first got to know the song from Tony Bennets and Michael Bubles version... I started singing it and my mother noticed and mentioned I'm singing The Ink Spots song... So I listened to it and fell inlove with it... By far the Best version of the song, the 2nd being Tonys and Michael! :)

One of the things I did while in Seattle was to spend some time with +REO MILLER. Reo recently disclosed a fondness for *The Ink Spots*, a group she frequently heard played around the house as a child. In honor of that memory and our now infrequent in-person visits, it seem appropriate to play the Duke Ellington number *Never No Lament* retitled when Bob Russel added the lyrics as *Don't Get Around Much Anymore*.
