I was 6 when I saw this movie in theaters. My mouth was agape for a good 2 mins after this opening as my tiny kid brain could not comprehend the God tier shit I just witnessed and heard. Even now at age 25 I'm like ITS SOOOOO AHHHMAZZZZIIINNGGGG (゜ロ゜) as I type this.

My major problems with the film were how annoying the Gargoyles were, and the bland love interest they made for Esmerelda that they went with while tossing aside an interesting relationship between Esmerelda and Quasimodo. It would've resulted better if the relationship of Phoebius and Esmerelda had chemistry but all they did was throw one liners at each other and kissed at one point.....but for all the good things in this film including that badass intro with Clopin, Quasimodo's kindhearted personality, and that horrifying villain Frollo made up for all its mistakes.

Goddamn, what an intro song! Hearing this makes me wonder how much better the Lion king soundtrack would have been if Alan Menken had done it instead of Tim Rice. Don't get me wrong, "Circle of Life" is awesome (both versions), Elton John's version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" is awesome, but the rest are either "meh" or downright bad.
