It's hilarious to see pissbabies shit on Travis despite the fact that an entire band made the decision to choose him as their vocalist. If they didn't like his rendition or sound they wouldn't have chosen him. It's literally that simple.

Nathans melody is by far superior in this song. That soaring melody in this song brings it to another level IMO. Have always loved this band. 1st album is def a piece of work hard to surpass.

Nathan's fucking screams are terrible. His singing is amazing though.

I don't even listen to The Human Abstract often so I compared the versions, this one is clearly better lol. He is a better vocalist (Travis), and I can say that with no previous liking to either singer

I feel like he probably could have hit the high notes on the chorus if actually tried, judging on how he sounded on digital veil. This was good but I know he could have done better. I surely wouldn't have picked him based on this take though

This is soo much better. The whiney vocals of the original didn't fit this song.

His voice does not match the type of music for this band, he does not sound nearly as goid as the old vocalist, he can't sing.Don't see what's so special about him.

I don't care what people say, Nathan was a better vocalist and lyricist than Travis. Sure Travis had near godly screams... in post-production. He's not a "grade A" singer. Nathan had that talent, not only was his voice amazing, but his lyrics felt so much more emotional than whatever the shit Travis did. If I had to say, because I don't understand any of it, Travis just used way too many metaphors. I do have to admit though, I didn't like Nathan's composing skills if Midheaven is any indication of that. AJ clearly is superior as a composer, especially in Digital Veil which was AFTER some of his schooling. I'm just going to be straight up honest, I think Travis was only chosen for publicity. I don't think the rest of the band really cared about making a quality album as well as it could have come to be. Shit what made Digital Veil great wasn't Travis, it was AJ. Say what you must, but THA died before Midheaven. I have to admit though, I thoroughly enjoyed Digital Veil. It was really well put together, lyrics were really kinda shitty though. Now I wait for the hate replies >.>

Honestly music gives you the choice to make your own subjective decision on what member of a band you prefer or what album you prefer. There is nothing beyond that....there's no good or bad only what you like and don't and everyone will have a different opinion.

Where can I get this version?

Nope. Nocturne was great. Nathan sounds like shit when he growls no matter what. He's also an egotistical prick. Digital Veil was AJ's baby. Every single track is great. Travis is actually a good singer, and a FAR superior growler/screamer.

So bad dude. Give any he has more range with his screams but his singing is mediocre at best and live both his screams and singing are just terrible. Nathan was original. Voice and screaming wise. Travis only sounds good on recording with his screams. And look at how many overlays he had to put though put the whole song just to make him sound better. Nathan didn't have to do that and he only had one range with his screams. Sorry but Travis is not that good

Travis in this song doesn´t have the tone that Nathan had in the original one. At least, his screams are fucking good.

Given that before this he spent pretty much all his days doing the rough vocals for fftl it's little surprise.

His singing isn't bad but that chorus melody is really high in general.
