Track 5 from The Human Abstract's new album "Digital Veil", released March 8, 2011 on E1 Music. This album is absolutely incredible, so go buy it immediately to support both THA and E1 Music, which is an awesome independent company and not a part of the tyrannical big labels.

For the past few weeks, my fiance used this song as our alarm clock. The first time I heard it play, I woke up half-asleep raising my voice "Pretty song!" There are times my fiance would not touch the alarm because he knew I loved it and I easily wake up to it in the morning. He never changed the alarm song, and I still wake up saying in a high-pitched happy, childish voice "Pretty song!" <3

This is one of the greatest things I've ever listened to in my life. Coming from a guy with over 400 gigs of music. I wish these guys were still a thing.

You guys need to get Nick Olaert back. That dude's voice was the shit. Your music is still awesome, but the vocals are lacking.

A.J. Minette is far better a musician that all of the bands mentioned here… Besides maybe Tosin Abasi. And Tosin becomes a little bit technical just for the sake of being that way. You lose a lot of musicality in trying to just sound "complicated"

You know why they are no more? because PTH, Animals As Leaders, the BDM, Within The Ruins and BTBAM are better and more consistent than them. Nocturne was their first and best album. sad but true.

Aj Minette is basically a classical composer, just composing in a metal band.Everything can be transcribed to piano or the like and it would have all the characteristics of classical piece. If a piano cover of this album were showed to classical enthusiasts, they wouldn't have one hint that it is of a band that does Prog Metal. Honestly, this man's a genius, and it blows my mind to see that he has the ability to do this.

My ears still can't cope with what I just experienced listening to this masterpiece... I am completely blown away by the complexity and beauty of this song. 10/10 Hands down

Finally some modern music with a complex chord progression. It's like something Beethoven would write if he had electric guitars/amped drums.

Ive been listening to THA since Nocturne and have never disapointed. They are IMHO the best and most underestimated band to come out in the past15 years. Ireally hope they stay together this time cause Digital Veil is one of the most prolific and beuatiful albums made period.
