To get this sound it's not that hard. Whammy bar, reverse reverb and fuzz is the primary thing you should look. Secondary, to get better tones, A graphic equalizer reducing some low frequencies. Sometimes I think I hear pitched notes also (I guess it's his HOG or boss PS-5) like on the solo of "Sea within A Sea", but on Mirror's Image I could be wrong on this.

Wrong, he used to make his own pedals, and it was just fuzz/distortion and A/B boxes, he don't even use those pedals anymore since strange house.

try, a reverse reverb pedal, or something like the alesis nano verb also a good fuzz pedal and a graphic equalizer.

I also think a good amount of compression after the fuzz/delay/verb chain can help achieving that "about-to-colapse" sound.

The Horrors do the whole post-punk revival thing really well. The guitarist is really unoriginal though. Still I guess his style suits the song.
