Not bad, but I prefer Buddy's version, and also Nancy Griffith's.... has anyone else covered it?

TELL ME HOW Allan Clarke escaped superstardom and sex symbol status in the 60's and 70's!

Have a listen to Nanci Griffith's version, a truly perfect voice for this wonderful song. You won't regret it.

Have a listen to Nanci Griffith's version, that lady has the purest voice and it's a wonderful version.

This song is now one of my favorites from them. Love it. Along with.... "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" "The Air That I Breathe" "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" "The Day That Crazy Bill Shot" "Stop Stop Stop"

The Hollies play Buddy Holly available on CD -I have to make do with the original LP digitised and I'm not sure which sounds best.

I've been looking for this one for ages - couldn't remember the title. Wogan used to play it regularly but I have never heard it on any other radio show. Just love it. The lyrics, the melody, rippling guitar and that compelling drum beat - oh yes and mustn't forget their harmonies.

The Hollies did a great job with this Buddy Holly song. Well they should, since they named their band after him.
