After hearing Bob's version many times before, and never knowing the Highwaymen ever covered this song I must say I am finding myself enjoying this version much more. And that is a different side of me, usually I prefer all songs in their original version/recording. Bob does a great job with his version of course, but this one just does it for me. It's got that "country" feel to it of the 1970's, early 1980's. Just terrific.
