This video is sheer unadulterated brilliance. Such particular attention to detail from the period set to the expressions on the faces to the pace of the film being exactly right..... a real masterpiece that was obviously a labour of love for the director. I loved the song before but after watching this it just takes it over the top. If I have one very very very minor sore point, Its that her death seems accidental rather than volitional - which IMHO would have tied in well with the general theme of disapproving dad/society. It maybe would have added more poignancy. Nevertheless it still stands as a phenomenal work. I like to think of myself as a musician and something I try to impress on people is that the division of Art into genres like Painting, movies, music, architecture etc., while it serves a practical purpose, is in fact an artificial divide. Beauty Is. This video to me is a gorgeous song, all on its own (without the soundtrack).

After my father suffering three strokes i couldnt bear to leave his hospital bed. He was recovering and the night i spent in the hospital room with him he told me about his life experiences and how death is a part of life. That someday he wont be here but to know that he loved me and how to help my brother and sister and so much more. When the morning came i had to drive alone i put the radio on as a means of distraction and hit seek. This song came on and as the rain was pouring i pulled into our yard and wept. It fit perfectly with everything he was telling me. I never heard of this band but because of that moment and helping my thru one of my lifes worst moments they are one of my favorites. Thanks for the healing, keep on,love you guys.
