I would probably be dead if it weren't for these two. It's been hard to feel good lately, but this music drags me out of the gutter when I'm truly stuck. G&E cuz.

surviving the strugle

I love music, and I don't say that nonchalantly. I believe that music is humanity's most amazing and universally inspirational creation. I cant imagine how lonely and bleak human existence would be without it. Sound's mellow dramatic but I ain't playin. That being said. I listen to almost every genre except gospel, opera, and not a fan of show tunes. I have an irrational dislike for record company creations, that are selected processed and packaged buy corporate meat puppets. Then masterfully and shamefully promoted and force fed to the people, resulting in mass consumption. It is these soulless fake "artist" and there army of lawyer's agent's sycophant's . Make up the main stream of most genre's. Hip Hop and punk rock happen to be two of my personal favorites. Almost all main stream Rap/Hip,Hop to be released in recent years is a gross misrepresentation of the community's it claims to represent. Also heavy handed bitch slap to Hip Hop pioneer's Like Public Enemy and KRS1 and kids like me that were given hope for the future. When we realized that punkrockers weren't the only people that could see how hypocritical destructive and fucking evil. The powers at be truly are. Songs like "fuck police" and "system gocha" gave way to. Vain, materialistic, filth that perpetuates the American tradition of judging and condemning people that struggle economically. Rap went from making the whole country see things from the prospective of ghetto youth. Now day's main stream rap is much more likely to be bragging about there jewelry, cars, clothes ect. Than representing and informing people from all walks of life to the true nature of the struggle that working class and poverty stricken family's face every day. In then same fashion punk went form the dead kenedeys and crass raising awareness of major political injustice all over the world. To greenday and offspring singing about teenage angst. For both genres, new comers could be horribly misled buy being exposed to the mainstream bands. THE underground of both genres is full of talanted dedicated Artist that are trying to wake the masses before it is to late. Artist like the living legends always make it easy to open minds to hip hop, for that I give mad thanks and props.
