@siloxr yeah, you are right. add this name also Hot Buttered Rum String Band. and Bill Monroe, the pioneer of bluegrass, should be heard to understand this progressive genre.

@Tremari0 You can consider this style of New Grass, an off shoot of bluegrass. Since I'm not particularly clear on what it is you like about it, I can just point you in a very general direction (as there's a lot of difference between various bands in the genre). Some notables include bands like Yonder Mountain String Band, Nickle Creek, String Cheese Incident. Someone else you might like is The Civil Wars.
