Off their last Billboard Top 100 Album. California band had a bunch of them from the mid 60's up to 1972. My sisters had all their stuff blasting in the house. I got their LP's a little later as a collector. A project band of outside manipulaters with constant changing members with the exception of Rob Grill and the lead guitarist, Warren Entner. These type bands were common in the second half of the 60's but most all of those were long gone by 1972. They were built by music entrepreneurs to be hit machines and change and turmoil were inherent within them. Most were short lived but not the Grass Roots, so highly successful.

This is great, but the funny thing is that it sounds exactly like Elton John wrote a song for David Coverdale.
