Pink Floyd's song, The Gnome, off of their first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

I want to tell you a story

'Bout a little man if I can

A gnome named Grimble Gromble

And little gnomes stay in their homes

Eating, sleeping, drinking their wine

He wore a scarlet tunic

A blue-green hood, it looked quite good

He had a big adventure

Amidst the grass, fresh air at last

Wining, dining, biding his time...

And then one day

Hooray, another way for gnome to say

Ooh my...

Look at the sky, look at the river

Isn't it good?

Look at the sky, look at the river

Isn't it good?

Winding, finding places to go

And then one day

Hooray, another way for gnomes to say

Ooh my ooh my...

I am an advocate for utilizing psychedelics such as Magic Mushrooms, DMT, LSD, etc. for mind expansion, spiritual growth, and gaining deeper connections and understandings to the universe. However a very important aspect of all that if not THE most important aspect of psychedelics is that "once you get the message hang up the phone" to briefly quote Allan Watts. Where I'm going with this is there is all this talk of using psychedelics to see gnomes, but I truly believe that gnomes and fairies and elves etc. exist with in our reality. It is just a matter of open mindedness and the entities wanting to reveal themselves to you, and allowing them to enter. That being said, I would love to hear anybody's experience with Gnomes with or with out psychedelics and who believes they exist out side of psychedelic use?

Having never taken DMT, can an experienced tripper confirm if the gnomes seem to be benevolent, or something sinister?

Does this song remind anyone else of Norwegian Wood by The Beatles?

The song tells the tale of a scarlet-tunic-wearing-gnome named Grimble Gromble. The psychedelic yet puerile lyrics came off the top of Barrett's head during an earlier richly creative period.Reportedly, it also draws its inspiration from J. R. R. Tolkien's fiction."The Gnome" was also included on the B-side of the US Pink Floyd single "Flaming" (Tower 378). This single was never released in the UK.
