I have to thank my mum for introducing me to The Fureys so long ago and lit my passion for Irish music. Thanks mum even though you were 4th generation from your Irish Great Grandfather Timothy Buckley, that Irish blood filled your veins and hence to me. Thank you to the Fureys for giving me a passion about Ireland too that even my daughter who is 6th generation Irish felt she 'came home' when she arrived in Ireland a few years ago. May the Irish feeling and the feeling for Ireland continue to flow and never wash out in all our descendants veins forever. Even if we are dinky di Aussies.

I met Finbar and the gang on the ferry to kerry on our way to the rose of tralee back in 1988, it was my best friend who introduced me to him as i was a huge fan of his and his music. I got his autograph on the back of a Major box(cigarette box), and he told us to see his sister i think he said, her name was lizzy, she had a mobile chipper and he told us she would look after us when hungry.... Great man.. I was at a gig if he's last year and git his autograph on the ticket.. I love the Fureys....
