cannot believe that some who claim to have loved the Gilmore Girls can be so clueless about music!!! THAT goes against everything the show stood for!!

@halfjapanesenirvana Just because something is not going to offend "the establishment" doesn't mean it's not fresh Very well said....ditto that

When someone told Hotlogsaw, "There are still bands like this...expand your music horizon...Stereolab, Animal Collective," I can't help but agree w/ Hotlogsaw. Stereolab has a great sound, but for me, one listen to a song (often half a listen) and I am not really compelled to listen again for a while. Clever, hip, French accent, I like. But FD's level of beauty and depth is uncommon in any era. Just because something is not going to offend "the establishment" doesn't mean it's not fresh.

The Free Design - an Establishment-friendly toe in hippie-dippy waters for those with families, kids, jobs.... My mom had a couple of their albums, along with Sarah Vaughn, The Carpenters and such. Even at 10 years old in 1970, I was aware her music collection was not "cool", informed as I was by Uncle Bobby (her little brother), my babysitter, etc. A listen to my friend's older brother's Black Sabbath record confirmed that the Free Design, Carpenters, Beatles etc. were gay, too. Ah, youth....

Oh Crêpe

There are still bands like this. You just have to look more for alternative/experimental music, and read musicmagazines like NME or Mojo, or look at Pitchfork. Expand your music horizon!.

The song's beautiful! why cant there be more bands this good today? all we have is rap (which i usually don't consider music), rock isn't as good as it was before, and all these disney singers all over the radio (atleast in my area).
