You Found Me

by: The Fray

with lyrics.

I found God on the corner of 1st and Amistad

Where the West was all but won

All alone, smoking his last cigarette

I said, "Where've you been?" He said, "Ask anything."

Where were you, when everything was falling apart.

All my days were spent by the telephone that never rang

And all I needed was a call that never came

To the corner of 1st and Amistad

Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me

Lying on the floor, surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late, you found me, you found me.

But in the end everyone ends up alone

Losing her, the only one who's ever known

Who I am, who I'm not and who I wanna to be

No way to know how long she will be next to me

Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me

Lying on the floor, surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late, you found me, you found me.

The early morning, the city breaks

And I've been calling for years and years and years

And you never left me no messages

You never sent me no letters

You got some kind of nerve taking all I want

Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me

Lying on the floor, Where were you? Where were you?

Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me

Lying on the floor, surrounded, surrounded

Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?

Just a little late, you found me, you found me.

Why'd you have to wait, to find me, to find me?

To Be Honest He Should Had Never Mentioned Gods Name In A Song Like This Period. God Is Always Here And Loves Everyone. If Your Antsiest Its Whatever . Freedom Of Speech I Can Say I LOVE GOD And No One Can Do Anything About It

for one people who use religion, i dont understand because i prayed enough when i wanted something to change, and for him to cure my family members and nothing happened, the truth is, if you want something you don't pray. you work for it.

Music is for everyone. A TRUE Artist can make a song that can be interpreted by anyone from any background .

does anyone else get the feeling that this guy is very mad at god because he lost someone he loved and he happens to show up "just a little late"? like every comment i am reading says the he is being positive towards god but i get the feeling that he is pissed off at him and expresses it like this so does anyone else get that vibe? or am i the only one?

guys, this song isn't about god or Christianity, when he says "found god on the corner of first and Amistad" he doesn't mean that he met god or became a christian, he means that he died.

Great song!!! Too bad all you idiots can do is fixate on whether or not god exists, just to get attention. Please shut up, please just believe what you want and leave others alone to believe what they want. Losers...

Um... why are we arguing about Christianity?I mean, I came to this song because I'm going through a breakup where the person literally just dropped off all contact after breaking up and has been completely ignoring my pathetically desperate self for months now, and my first reaction to the first verse was the singer comparing their ex to God, like their ex was like a god to them until they cut them off and now the singer is just floundering and asking them where the hell they've gone off to.I never even thought of the possibility that the singer was actually talking about a literal God.I mean, the cigarette was kind of a tipoff.
