One of the numerous 4 Seasons songs that you can't just listen to once and push to the side.

Going to TarryTown Everybody knows me there I've been away too long In a concrete world Where no one cares So you say that You gotta be lonely It's a sign that Can never change I'll paint a patch of blue On the weather beaten Skies for you I'll make the sun come Through for you, girl You know I will (You know I will) If you believe in love Take my hand and come along Lonlieness never ends when you're Living where you can't belong Set your mind for A chance to be happy Let your heart find A way to love I'll paint a patch of blue On the weather beaten Skies for you I'll make the sun come Through for you, girl You know I will (You know I will) I'll paint a patch of blue On the weather beaten Skies for you I'll make the sun come Through for you, girl You know I will, I will I'll paint a patch of blue On the weather beaten Skies for you I'll make the sun come Through for you, girl You know I will You know I will Oh, I'll paint a Patch of blue on the Weather beaten skies for you...

What a great song by the Four Seasons. It has all of the seasons magic that worked for so many years. The album this song came from, known as "Half and Half" and the album before, "Genuine Imitation Life Gazzette," were the best produced albums the Four Seasons ever made! They are best known for their string of great pop hits from the early 1960s to late 1960s, but when they produced these two albums in 1969 and 1970, they put together some amazing and beautiful tunes that are spectacular!

i've always loved this song! :) my father bought this album for me around 1970, about the time i started school. one thing i noticed after all these years is the bass guitar in this song. i'm a bassist and am not sure if it's me or just the recording, but the song is in F and yet the bass sounds like it's on B flat in the verses. anybody else notice this? maybe it's just an overtone. one of my favorite parts of the song is the buildup and crescendo at 2:21 and Frankie's unmistakeable falsetto!
