Charted at #45 on the Cash Box singles chart in August 1955. B-side of "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing" which was a #1 hit.
This song also charted at #1 for Harry Macdonough and Elise Stevenson in April 1909. Also a #1 hit for Ada Jones and Billy Murray, and a #2 hit for Frank Stanley and Henry Burr. Written and introduced by the popular married vaudeville team, Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth, in the "Ziegfeld Follies of 1908". Ruth Etting revived the song in the 1931 Follies. Also check out the 1960 Teresa Brewer version which is fantastic too.
