I've seen a lot of beautiful music clips from the sixties but from this group I missed this one.

To share it with all the fans of this group or those who love the music of the 60's.

This track was released in the UK in September 1965 stingray and Jay, but the video looks as if it was filmed much later as stingray suggests.

I like your taste in music, stingray; it's a gorgeous piece. But I think you'll find it made the charts in the summer of '64. I've been wrong before, but it sure seems like this was an end of summer song that year.

This is the 3rd line-up of The Fortunes. It's their 60's chart hit, performed around 1971. Glen Dale is not featured in this clip. However you can see new boy George along with Shel.

This is probably my favourite Fortunes single and one Rod often sang early in the live set, usually second or third song. Great memories from a better time in 1965.

Has anyone noticed the similarity in looks between the lead singer, Rod Allen and LBC radio presenter James O'Brien? The latter was adopted as a child.

wow... I haven't heard this song in like... EVER. Beautiful. If I was a gull at their TV taping, I'd toss my panties at them. But I'm a normal guy, so... I would do no such thing. This song sounds A LOT like that other song of the same era "Silence Is Golden, Golden... but my eyes still see..." oh nooo.... that drummer can't drum-sync worth a crap... hahaha F for effort

This footage of The Fortunes was captured in the early 70's. The original version was by The 60's Fortunes. The difference is 2 changes? Dave Carr and Andy Brown were replaced by Shel McCrae and George Macalistor.
